I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, based in Buckinghamshire, providing short and long-term therapy, in person and online. My therapy room, as shown in the photos, provides a confidential, quiet and comfortable space where you can share whatever issues are affecting you.

I work with individuals (aged 18+) and couples from any walk of life, background, culture, faith, ethnicity, gender or sexuality. I will always strive to meet your needs.

My approach is relational and collaborative, offering a warm, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental environment to help you explore any issues or experiences affecting you. In doing this, you can learn more positive ways of dealing with your challenges, increase your awareness and understanding, discover new perspectives, build your confidence and resilience and make the changes you want to.

My way of working is informed by a number of different therapeutic theories and approaches, enabling me to work in a way most suited to you. (Please click here for further information on different theories).

I believe that building an honest, trusting relationship is essential to successful outcomes in therapy. We will work in partnership to untangle what feels complicated, messy or difficult. I will listen attentively and be alongside you in exploring your issues and experiences. I will also seek to offer challenge, insight  and a different perspective as the relationship develops.  I will work at your pace and with whatever you choose to bring, supporting you to the best of my ability.

I have worked with people experiencing stress and anxiety; problems with eating or sleeping; lack of motivation; low self-esteem; self harm and suicidal thoughts; depression; shame; dissociation and those with diagnosed conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The reasons people seek support from therapy are many and varied. Difficulties experienced might have arisen because of developmental, past or recent trauma; accidents; work pressures; grief, loss and bereavement; family and friendship issues; relationships, parenting, divorce, upbringing and attachment; bullying; identity; abortion; abuse of any kind; sexual assault; domestic violence; neglect; and the impact of boarding school.

As well as working in private practice, I have also worked in an agency supporting those affected by sexual assault and abuse, and in a secondary school offering counselling to pupils and staff.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and always work following their ethical guidelines. You can find more information and see the full BACP Ethical Framework here

I undertake regular training (CPD) to make sure my skills and knowledge are up-to-date, so I can work with clients in the most effective way.
